Hello and welcome to our blog…thank you for visiting!
So we are out on tour again this time visiting Scotland, India, China, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. We will be on the road for the next 6 months with many adventures to occur if our previous experience holds true. From the Great Barrier Reef to the Panama Canal, Machu Picchu to the Amazon Jungle, the Rockies to the Andes and now the Himalayas we have found ourselves in situations never imagined. Who ever thought guinea pig could taste so good or that showering in the sprinklers of the Australian parliament grounds could be so refreshing? Did you know that walking barefoot over hot coals was a bad idea…so did I but did that stop me? No but the melted foot held me up for a couple weeks. If someone told us the Sistine Chapel closed at 1 pm maybe we would have thought twice about stopping for pizza and wine at noon on our way there; well at least we got a close up of the doors as they slammed in our face. Hearing the roar of a lion outside our tent, watching a cheetah hunt it’s pray, and listening to the melodic sounds of 50 Burundian school children sing in unisons all gave us shivers down the spine. As we embark on this journey everything is possible but hopefully we don’t need to use the nunchucks this time (that’s another story altogether).
We will be updating the blog as we go, hopefully with a new post every week so stay tuned! We will be highlighting both the highs and lows, heartwarming and heartbreaking, morally enriching and morally challenging situations faced along the way. Feel free to comment and engage in discussions but please remember to keep it clean, we’re child friendly 🙂
We will also be posing a question on each post to stimulate discussion so to start us off:
“what’s the craziest or funnest thing you’ve done on holidays?”
We hope you enjoy.
Wishing you the utmost peace, love and happiness
Until next time…
Sarah and Brett
Hi Brett and Sarah
I was happy to see the link to your blog on Facebook. It’s going to be fun following you on your adventures! Stay safe and keep up the fun stories…
The craziest or funniest thing I have done on a holiday? Hmmm can’t think of anything too crazy? I haven’t had the adventures you two have though!
Nicole
Oh Nicole, don’t hold out…it’s ok, you can keep your innocent persona for the public 🙂
okay holidays have allways been quite exciting, in the last few years I have barely escaped with my life Ausstrala barrier reef scuba diving 30ft below could not breath through oxygen mask so dicided to take it off only to realize it’s even harder to breath in water, got the wrong signal for help and was telling the instrucor I’m fine whie passing out. I was hauled to the surface and taken back on board the boat when I came round heaving my guts into the sea I could hear my darling husband saying ” a knew you should not have went doon there I knew you woud droon”. Then there was the time in Kefalonia where we were watching the surfing waves but got too close and a huge wave washed 3 of us out to sea I felt like a cork in a washig machine except I had no boyancy and still had plastic shoes tied to my feet which kept dragging me below water, thought I was a goner but my darling husband came to my rescue and kept me afoat untill we reached shore so once again I emptied the contents of my stomach. So next holiday to tenerife we thought lets not go near the water and we hired bikes for the day and peddling along the beautifull esplanade i foud the only lampost and went straight into it and over the handlebars splitting my ear open. hey ho to some great holidays but is there anything safe? Have a great time on your travels and enjoy xxxx
Oh mammie! What adventures you and Dad have had! That’s not including the Austrian gondola in a storm or the Turkish bomb! You two could write a book, but thanks for writing on the blog.
Not too much crazy here in India yet, funny sights though, like the business man being chased down the street by 3 angry pigs! Maybe he tried to to blow their house down?

Reading through your blog entries. Such great stories!
We haven’t done anything really crazy on holiday, but certainly have some funny stories and good memories.
– My husband rode a bull in Cuba, and we both held a crocodile there
– Jumped off a short(ish) cliff into a fresh water pond in the Mayan Riviera
– Crashed a fancy party at an all inclusive resort. We just dressed up and walked in like we belonged there! No one questioned us at all! LOL
Look forward to reading about your adventures in China!
India is very good to travel and if you travel with kids everyone wants to help and talk. Maybe you can take your little ones when they are a bit bigger. Thanks for the post!
